Baths
There are two main finishes to baths, acrylic and steel both having many varieties of style.
Acrylic comes in 5 and 8mm sheets moulded to shape. This keeps the water hotter for longer and allows you to keep the bath looking clean and polished as the finish is your desired colour all the way through. There is a super tough finish available this is often called "Carronite". This is an extra layer applied to the underside of the bath that makes it much heavier and stronger.
Steel comes in light weight and super gauge. Light weight is usually supplied to the building trade and for first time buyers who are on a budget. Super gauge steel has almost replaced the old cast iron and comes in many shapes and sizes. Steel baths have a shiny mirrored enamel finish and have that reassuring metallic feel to them.
